CHARLOTTE + ROSS’ ADVENTURE – THE LAKE DISTRICT
Though there are an endless amount of terrific locations for a wedding, it’s hard to beat the Lake District. Thanks to the incredible scenery and range of venue options, more and more couples are choosing to have a Lake District wedding.
The Benefits of Getting Married in the Lake District
- Beautiful Scenery and Picturesque Backdrops – The Lake District is famed for its breathtaking scenery and picturesque views, all of which works well as a gorgeous backdrop for any wedding. Whether you’re thinking about the big day or the wedding photographs, it’s important that everything is set amongst beautiful surroundings. As a recent sunset shoot from Latrigg overlooking Keswick showed, backdrop is hugely important.
- Wide Range of Venues to Choose From – There’s certainly no shortage of fantastic wedding venues in the Lake District, which means that you will have a wide range of places to choose from. Some of the most popular include Inn on the Lake, Leeming House and Cragwood Hotel but there are many, many more. It doesn’t matter how large or small your wedding is set to be, you will be able to find a Lake District wedding venue that has everything you need.
- Something For Every Couple and Wedding – When it comes to planning a wedding, it’s important that the day is perfect for you and your partner. As every couple is different, every wedding is bound to be different also. One of the great benefits of getting married in the Lake District is that there really is something for everyone. Regardless of the type of day that you are planning, you will find everything you need close by.
Lake District Wedding Photographer
As a professional wedding photographer, I know just how important wedding photography is. In fact, it’s one of the most important parts of your big day. Similarly, I know just how expensive planning a wedding can be. This is why I work hard to be more affordable than most local Lake District photographers, all without compromising on quality. Even with travel and accommodation charges added to my coverage fee, you will find my wedding photography to be budget friendly. Having photographed Charlotte and Ross’ wedding a few months prior I was super excited to organise a trip to the Lake District for an adventure session. The Lake District has always been a fond place for Charlotte and Ross, visiting many times as children and hiking many miles with her dad. The idea of capturing epic couple portraits on top of the fells was something they both jumped at.
We set off early morning and we have the benefit of only a 1.5 hour drive to the Lake District, literally on our doorstep. We ascended cat bells early morning before heading over to the other side of Derwentwater to capture some images on the Ashness Jetty followed by a hike up Walla Crag. The images we created in just one day were brilliant and have gone on to win over 7 awards.
