Collection 49 – I loved capturing this romantic golden sunset portrait of Amber and Matt in the Lake District. Captured from WallaCrag looking over Derwentwater with the splendor of Catt Bells across the lake.

Durham Wedding Photographer Award Winning

Collection 49 – The bar at the hotel had an interesting shape so I added some full CTO gels to my flash and created a silhouette shot of the bridegroom and friends raising a glass to happiness.

Durham Wedding Award Winning Photography

Collection 46 – This Cheeky Chap was the ring bearer at the wedding of Michael and Leanne, held at Shildon Civic in County Durham. Their Son was so cute with the ring security briefcase, gun, id badge, glasses.

Blackwell Grange Hotel Award Winning Photographer

Collection 45 – I created this image with the intention of being a Black and White with the huge chandelier above. They were lit from a key light on the floor below and a light upstairs firing into the chandelier.

Croft Hotel Award Winning Photographer

Collection 45 – The DJ and I discussed when to set of the Confetti canons. I took some 1st dance shots and then quickly switched to a wide angle 14mm lens and crouched down ready for the canons. I knew exactly the beat of the song for when the were to explode so I locked focus on the couple and fired several shots and selected the best of the bunch. Everyone loved the confetti canons going off.

York Award Wunning Wedding Photographer

Collection 44 – This photo was captured at the York Principal Hotel. Simon and Carol are such lovely people and they then went over to Hong Kong for a wedding there too. The shot was created with a CTO Key light in the front and a purple gelled flash behind shooting into the chandelier.

Redworth Hall Award Winning Wedding Photographer

Collection 44 – Captured at Redworth Hall Hotel. Vicky and Chris were great! They popped outside for about 5 minutes to create some sneak out photos and this was just one of them. I love the silhouette look framed by the doorway. A red gelled flash was placed behind them.

Collection 42 – I envisioned the shot weeks before the wedding so to have a 5 minute sneak out during the reception to create the idea and bring it to life was amazing.

Hallgarth Manor Award Winning Wedding Photography 1

Collection 40 – The sun was setting fast and Hollie and Aidan were inside ripping the dance floor up with their guests. I had mentioned doing a sneak out so they popped outside for 5 minutes, stood near the entrance to a farmers field overlooking the gorgeous sunset. As soon as i posed them I knew it would make the perfect silhouette.

Collection 43 – Love the colour on this photo. The couple chose the purple to reflect their wedding. Photo shot at 14mm for dramatic effect. Purple gel firing into building behind the couple and then moved to the left and right for the sides. The sides were then composited back in so the entire building was purple.

Collection 43 – Loved creating this photo, I was laid on my back shooting up into a light shade. 2nd image was created as a silhouette and then merged.

Collection 43 – Matt loves Amber so much. During the 1st dance he grabbed a hold of her and swung her round in the centre of the dance floor, the dress just flowed brilliantly and i managed to freeze it at the perfect time.

Collection 41 – Andrew and Jeniffer were such a lovely couple. This was my first time shooting at this venue and they wanted a photo in front of the building, typical thinking would of been a daytime looking shot but i decided to go for something a little more epic. I placed a Blue creative gel behind them pointing at the couple and a full CTO gel camera right to light them which in turn allowed me to bring down the in camera Kelvin to make the building more blue. Ambient exposure was darkened by 2-3 stops.

Jersey Farm Hotel Award Winning Photography2 1

Collection 41 – Having took 6-7 photos of some flames from a fire I then captured a shot of the couple in the semi circle glass wall and used the in camera double exposure feature to create the final image.

Collection 41 – Joanne and Lee were great sports. It rained all day and when it did break it was about 1 hour before sunset so we quickly captured the couple portraits and then got my creative juices flowing when i saw a semi circle glass wall, I instantly thought blue gel, silhouette and bokeh. I also had a second idea with some fire flames I captured and intended for double exposure which I also won a Wedisson award for.

Collection 39 – Jodie and Matt were brilliant, the weather opened up outside so we headed in doors for some artistic shots, I had this in my mind and so chuffed it ended up how I envisioned.
